Question Posted By: Billy on Saturday, October 28, 2000

I was shocked to read about somebody else that is suffering from psoriasis and severe hip pain. I'm 35 and have had psoriasis for about 15 years. It's Fall now and I am getting those dime size spots all over too. I never had hip pain before though. I've had it for about a month now. My x-ray looks fine. My doctor didn't make any connection with my hip pain and my psoriasis. You also thought Lauren's problem were to separate issues. It's just weird for 2 people to have the same odd aflictions. It makes me wonder if there are more people out there with this problem.

P. S.
Could you foward this to Lauren with my e-mail address...Id love to talk to someone else with the same problem. Maybe we can help each other.

Billy:

Both psoriasis and aches and pains are so common that it's not really that odd that people can have both. It's important to take each symptom on its own terms and not mingle them unless the circymstances justify it. Sometimes they do, of course, but by no means always.

Best.

PS: I'm sorry, but I don't have Lauren's e-mail address.
